Grayson's BDay Party
Last weekend Devin's cousin Grayson had his birthday party at a park in Azle. It was a really neat park and Devin had a blast playing. I think I spent all of 10 minutes that we were there visiting with the adults because Devin wanted to climb and slide non stop and I love to let her wear herself out when she is enjoying herself so much!

She was so funny beacuse when other kids got on this bridge it would bounce her all around. She would wait for them all to cross and take her time, and if one came while she was crossing, she would hold on to the poles for dear life!

And of course some of her favorite thing about any park, lots of sliding...

Trouble
Last weekend Bianca and her daddy came over to play for a little while. The girls always have a great time together and play well minimal adult interaction. They love to go in Devin's room and read books.
I kept hearing the pitter patter of little feet and the sound of books coming off the shelf. When Chris got up to check on them, this is what he saw....
Oh.my.goodness! I love how Bianca realizes they are in trouble and is trying to get a book out to put up, while Devin is still loading them in. I learned my lesson about not checking in on them more often. :)
Again, this takes me right back to when me and Tia Awol were little girls and we would do things like this. I remember as children she wanted to move into another bedroom, so we just started sneaking all of her things across the dining room and into the other room. The funny thing is, she got to stay in that room! hahaha
So after the girls cleaned Devin's bed out, with a little of my help, and put everything back on the shelf, I told them they could each pick one book and one stuffed animal that they could bring out to play with but that Devin's room was closed for business for the night. :)
So they went to Todd and he read to them for awhile...

Soaking up the weather
We have really been trying to soak up the nice weather lately. It won't be long before it will be too cold to really spend a lot of time outside without being bundled up.
Devin loves to go out in the backyard with her daddy while I make dinner. He always has to open up the deck box so she can find some fun toys to play with too, especially balls.
I just adore that cute little face

Shopping
One day Devin and I were bored so I decided to go window shopping. She and I went to a few large department stores just to browse around. I didn't even take the stroller in which confirms I wasn't planning on looking myself much because a certain little someone LOVES to shop on her own too.
Not even down the first aisle, Devin had already spotted the wallets.
I think she looked at every one of them. She is just like her momma with her love of bags/purses/wallets. My mom has always teased me that I have always loved a new bag/purse/wallet and it couldn't be anymore true. I sure do love my little shopping buddy!

Park Playdate
A few weeks ago, Devin and I went to meet her friend Conner at this awesome little park we have discovered here. It has quickly become our very favorite hangout, especially with the beautiful weather lately!
It is super safe for the kids and makes it much easier for me as a mom to take Devin there by myself.
But of course, it is always more fun to have friends along for the ride!
And these two are just too cute together...
I think this is one of Devin's favorite parts besides the huge slides....

Hello.....
Hello....hello Diddo.
Today I saw Devin talking on her phone while she was blending something in her kitchen. When I listened, she was talking to Diddo on the phone.
I wonder where she learned about cooking and talking on the phone?
I am really behind on blogging right now but just thought I would give you this little gem for the time being. :)
