This past weekend Chris, Devin and I took a little after tax season vacation! It was Devin's first time to ride on a plane and she did really well both ways. On the way there, she was in and out of her seat a ton of times, but she didn't have any tantrums which was all we could hope for! On the way home, she was so tired that she fell asleep in my lap before we even took off and slept in my arms through the entire flight! As soon as she fell asleep, Chris took a huge breath of relief and said to me "Don't move!" hahaha....
As soon as we got in town, Devin's temperature started to rise. By that afternoon, it was pretty high, she was feeling pretty miserable and she even threw up once. After a quick trip to the pediatric urgent care there, we came home feeling reassured that it was just a little virus and tried to enjoy the rest of our trip.
Devin felt much better by the second day. By then, she was all about playing! She got to meet her new cousin Olive...
And see her older cousin Justin again...
She was all about being a little mommy on this trip. They gave her a baby doll when we arrived, and since we have been home, she has been trying to diaper it, wipe it's hands, nurse it, kiss it on the head and love it in all the same ways that I love on her.
She was trying to help Olive with her pacifier...
And even offered to share hers....
Devin doesn't normally have a pacifier during the day, but since she was still fighting a low fever and didn't really nap much while we were there, and stayed up WAY past her bedtime every night, we let her have it on this trip. We are paying for it now that we are home, but I think she is finally getting caught up on sleep and forgetting about it now...hopefully.
While we were there, Olive got a new Jumparoo that Tracy and I put together while the boys had some man time. Devin remembered how much fun hers was and tried to show Olive how it worked!
