I am really behind on blogging right now. I have pictures from March I am about to blog but hope to get caught up and stay caught up now that tax season is over, the house remodel is underway, and the rest of my immediete deadlines will be behind me come Monday. I can't say that I won't still be exhausted all the time, but I hopefully won't feel as busy (yeah right!).
Anyway, back at the end of March, Tia Awol came to town for the first time since the Fort has been sold and she had no obligations other than whatever she felt like doing! She got to go to Little Gym with Devin for the first time and babysat Devin and Bianca for a few hours while I went to a shower for a friend.
One of those nights, Uncle Rick had us all over for dinner and a little party. He loves to have us all over to his place, and with the weather being really nice, it is fun to go hang out there seeing is though it is all outside!
Devin and Bianca had a lot of fun exploring there as they always do!
Rick brought his really old box turtle out for them to see and to feed...
Todd and Mara brought some confetti eggs for the girls to hunt to they had a little Easter egg hunt while we were there. They loved it, but it only happened once because it didn't take them long to realize the eggs were fun to break open!
When Uncle Edward showed up, Devin went to show him all of her loot and welcome him to the party!
Bianca even welcomed him with a hug, and I have a picture to prove it! For some reason Bianca is scared of Edward. I am sure it's because when she was a baby, he was scared of her too. He tried to be scared of Devin too, but we wouldn't let him!
Once the egg hunt was over, Devin and Bianca were all about collecting rocks and there were lots to collect!
Chris brought his crossbow and the boys all took their turns shooting it at the "target".
Before target shooting, Chris really wanted me to take a picture of him with Isabell on his shoulder. Rick had to do a little coaxing to get her to cooperate and I find them hysterical.
Rick looks like he is going to make out with Chris' ear any minute, and Chris is just smiling away! ;) If you know Rick well enough, you are totally used to this!
Finally!
So manly...especially with that bird on his shoulder...
Uncle Rick took the girls to find some of the really good rocks...
Just for my own memory, I remember watching how uncomfortable Devin was here. She really wanted those rocks but she didn't like all the grass touching her legs and getting dirty. She is so prissy when it comes to getting dirty in some ways, but not in others.
The girls lining up all the special rocks with Aunt Sally's help!
Target shooting didn't go quite as planned. As you can see, the guys had to do a little work to remove the arrows from the backdrop and of course they were all present to supervise!
What a fun night!
